Week 52: TeleFutura finishes season with record performance

A Record Performance Among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 During Broadcast Prime. TeleFutura Highlights – NPM Broadcast Prime Week of 09/13/10.


TeleFutura finished the 2009/2010 Season with a record performance among Total Viewers 2+ (885,000), Adults 18-49 (521,000) and Adults 18-34 (316,000) during broadcast prime.
 
 In the 2009/2010 Season, TeleFutura reported strong year-over-year audience increases during broadcast prime while Telemundo showed audience declines among Total Viewers 2+ (TF: +22% vs. TEL: -9%), Adults 18-49 (TF: +23% vs. TEL: -7%) and Adults 18-34 (TF: +28% vs. TEL: -5%) compared to the same period in the 2008/2009 Season.

 Additionally, TeleFutura produced more nightly wins over Telemundo in the 2009/2010 Season during broadcast prime versus the same period in the 2008/2009 Season among Total Viewers 2+ (95 nights vs. 55 nights), Adults 18-49 (86 nights vs. 55 nights) and Adults 18-34 (100 nights vs. 48 nights).

 During the last week of the 2009/2010 Season,  TeleFutura’s  M-F 10pm novela series “Rosario Tijeras”

 Attracted 1.2 million Total Viewers 2+, 818,000 Adults 18-49 and 492,000 Adults 18-34. 
 
 Delivered its HIGHEST weekly performance levels among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 since premiering on 07/12/10 and the 2nd highest weekly performance  among Adults 18-34

 Out-delivered Telemundo’s “Alguien Te Mira”  by significant margins among Total Viewers 2+ (TF 1.2 million vs. TEL 673,000; +79% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 818,000 vs. TEL 373,000; +119% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 492,000 vs. TEL 225,000; +119% Adv.)

 Grew its audience by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (1.2 million vs. 1.0 million; +20%), Adults 18-49 (818,000 vs. 707,000; +16%) and Adults 18-34 (492,000 vs. 439,000; +12%) compared to its previous week airing (09/07/10-09/10/10).

 For the second consecutive weekend, TeleFutura was the #2 Spanish-language network, beating Telemundo during weekend broadcast prime (Sat 8pm-11pm & Sun 7pm-11pm) among all key demographics, including Total Viewers 2+ (TF 725,000 vs. TEL 628,000; +15% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 425,000 vs. TEL 364,000; +17% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 272,000 vs. TEL 211,000; +29% Adv.).

 On Sunday night (September 19, 2010) from 7pm-11pm, TeleFutura’s back-to-back primetime movie airings of “Cine de las Estrellas: Home Alone 2 Lost in NY” and “Cine de las Estrellas Sun 2: Underworld Evolution” out-performed Telemundo’s prime time line-up which included  a special airing of “Viva Mexico: El Bicentenario” and “Idolos de Mexico” among Total Viewers 2+ (TF 1.0 million vs. TEL 773,000; +36% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 619,000 vs. TEL 434,000; +43% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 397,000 vs. TEL 263,000; +51% Adv.).
