Week 52: Univision does well in 18-34 in final week sweep

Univision the #2 Broadcast Network in The Country in Overall Prime Among ALL Adults 18-34. Univision Highlights – NPM Broadcast Prime Week of 09/13/10.


For the last week of the 2009-10 Season, Univision was the #2 broadcast network in overall primetime among Adults 18-34 (1.2 million), beating ABC, CBS and FOX.  Among Adults 18-49 (2.1 million) Univision beat out FOX to take the #4 ranking for the week.  Additionally, Univision was the #1 broadcast network among Kids 2-11 (483,000) and #5 among Total Viewers 2+ (3.8 million).

Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX every night among Adults 18-34; on 6 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49 and Teens 12-17; and on 5 out of 7 nights among Total Viewers 2+.
  
For the week, Univision delivered 11 of the Top 30 programs in overall primetime among Adults 18-34 and 4 of the Top 30 programs among Adults 18-49.
 
In week 52 of the 2009-10 Season, Univision’s primetime audience saw growth versus the same week a year ago across Total Viewers 2+ (+10%), Adults 18-49 (+14%), Adults 18-34 (+17%) and Adults 25-54 (+10%).

Univision finished the 2009-10 Season as the #5 broadcast network in primetime among key demographics including Total Viewers 2+ (3.5 million), Adults 18-49 (1.8 million), Adults 18-34 (1.0 million) and Teens 12-17 (197,000).

In the 2009-10 Season, Univision was the #1 broadcast network on 74 nights among Adults 18-34; garnering more nightly wins this season versus the same period in the 2008-09 Season (68 nights).

Univision was the #1 broadcast network on four nights, Monday (1.4 million), Tuesday (1.5 million), Thursday (1.4 million) and Friday (1.3 million), among Adults 18-34.

Univision ranked as the #1 most-watched broadcast network among Adults 18-49 on Monday (2.5 million) and Friday (2.2 million) night.

Last week, Univision’s primetime novelas were the top two most-watched programs on Monday, Thursday and Friday night among Adults 18-34 with #1 “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel) and #2 “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money).  Additionally, “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel) was the #1 program on Monday and Friday night among Adults 18-49.

At 8pm, “Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe” (For Love or Money) helped Univision take the #1 position in the hour among Adults 18-34 (1.5 million), Women 18-34 (735,000) and ranked #2 among Adults 18-49 (2.5 million).
 
The hit-novela, “Soy Tu Dueña” (Woman of Steel), made Univision the #1 most-watched network in the 9pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.7 million), Women 18-34 (907,000) and ranked #2 among Adults 18-49 (3.0 million) and Women 18-49 (1.6 million).
 
 On Saturday night, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) helped Univision attain the #3 position for the night among Adults 18-34 (649,000) and Teens 12-17 (91,000); and ranked #4 among Adults 18-49 (1.2 million) and Total Viewers 2+ (2.5 million).

Univision’s reality dance competition, “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing!) second episode delivered 3.6 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.8 million Adults 18-49, 934,000 Adults 18-34 and 1.1 million Persons 12-34.  The reality show helped position Univision as the #4 broadcast network, beating ABC, in the Sunday 8-10pm time period among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Persons 12-34.

Sunday’s premiere of Univision’s entertainment magazine “Sal y Pimienta” (Salt and Pepper) in the 10pm hour averaged 2.4 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 million Adults 18-49 and 575,000 Adults 18-34.  The program delivered more Adults 18-34 than ABC’s “The Gates” and “America’s Funniest Home Videos” on Sunday night.
