CBS Radio’s Sports WFAN-AM and the New York Mets have named play-by-play veteran Josh Lewin to the 2012 Mets radio broadcast team. He joins Howie Rose in the booth. He has 16 years of Major League Baseball broadcast experience, calling games for the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers and most recently, Texas Rangers.

Lewin was the Rangers television play-by-play announcer from 2002-2010. He also has been part of Fox’s Saturday national television baseball coverage since 1996 and announced both American League and National League postseason games for the network. Lewin also hosted a midday sports talker on CBS Radio’s KRLD-FM in Dallas in 2011-2012.

Lewin also served as the radio play-by-play voice for the San Diego Chargers since 2005 and will continue in that role. He also called games for the NHL’s Dallas Stars and multiple major college basketball programs during his 17-year career.

Sports Radio 66 WFAN has been the flagship station for Mets radio broadcasts since the station’s inception in 1987.
