Whitney Houston tribute lifts Dateline NBC

Sunday Results:
* From 7-9 p.m. ET, “Dateline NBC” (1.6/4 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall) reported its highest adult 18-49 rating for a Sunday telecast since August 9, 2009 and biggest overall audience for a Sunday edition since February 15, 2009.  The February 12 telecast of “Dateline NBC” included a tribute to singer Whitney Houston, who died Saturday.  Versus its results for the same night last year, “Dateline NBC” is up 33 percent in 18-49 rating (with a 1.6 vs. a 1.2) and up 28 percent in total viewers (6.773 million vs. 5.280 million).


* From 9-11 p.m. ET, “Fear Factor” delivered a 1.5/3 in 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers overall.  From its first half-hour to its fourth, “Fear” grew by 42 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.7 from a 1.2) and 35 percent in total viewers (4.4 million vs. 3.2 million). 

* For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, “Fear Factor” ranked #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in all key ratings categories ahead of ABC’s original drama “Pan Am.”
