WNIL-AM sold in Michigan


KozackoPathfinder Communications Corp. of Mishawaka, IN has sold WNIL-AM in Niles, Michigan to Marion Williams. George W. Kimble of the Tucson office of Kozacko Media Services was the exclusive broker. The price was $225,000. Pathfinder O&Os other stations in Indiana and Michigan. Williams owns WSMK-FM in Buchanan, Michigan and also owns stations in Mississippi and Georgia. WNIL operates on 1290 kHz with 500 watts daytime and 44 watts, night and has a talk format. Kimble tells RBR-TVBR: “Marion Williams is an African-American broadcast owner so this increases minority ownership which is a subject of concern to some.”
