Univision’s broadcast of yesterday’s highly-anticipated 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ match-up between Mexico and France set a new record for the network’s broadcast of the tournament to-date, averaging 5.8 million Total Viewers 2+ (5,792,507), 3.4 million Adults 18-49 (3,410,323), 2.2 million Adults 18-34 (2,165,562) and 2.8 million Persons 12-34 (2,766,631), among all viewers, not just Hispanics. Becoming Univision’s most-watched 2010 FIFA World Cup™ match so far, the network’s broadcast of the encounter between Mexico and France doubled and tripled ESPN2’s audience delivery of the same game among key demos.

Univision’s broadcast of yesterday’s match between Argentina and South Korea (6/17/2010; 7:30-9:28am) averaged 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+ (1,446,052), almost 900,000 Adults 18-49 (888,397), over 400,000 Adults 18-34 (449,477) and almost half a million Persons 12-34 (492,734).

Yesterday’s match-up between Nigeria and Greece on Univision averaged 1.8 million Total Viewers 2+ (1,753,206), 1.0 million Adults 18-49 (1,049,435), over half a million Adults 18-34 (558,511), and over 600,000 Persons 12-34 (628,198).

For the entire day, Univision’s telecasts averaged 2.8 million Total Viewers 2+ (2,746,176), 1.6 million Adults 18-49 (1,635,040), 1.0 million Adults 18-34 (967,483), and 1.2 million Persons 12-34 (1,184,515) beating ESPN/ESPN2’s telecasts for the day by +60%, +51%, +55%, +53% in the demos respectively.

Day seven’s electrifying matches boosted the site to its best streaming day to-date, with over 410,000 unique media players streaming the matches live. Simultaneous streams peaked at nearly 200,000 streams during the stellar match between Mexico and France.
Univision Fútbol’s mobile offerings have also set multiple records. Over 24.5 million page views and more than 5 million visits have been served on mobile platforms since the tournament began. Day seven was the #1 day of the tournament for visits, with nearly 1 million visits generated.
