Yahoo! Sports Radio has partnered with Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN) to carry all three Triple Crown races in 2014. HRRN will provide exclusive radio coverage of the 140th Kentucky Derby on Saturday, 5/3 live from Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY. HRRN will also broadcast the Preakness Stakes on Saturday, 5/17 and conclude with the Belmont Stakes on Saturday, 6/7.
“We are really excited to partner with HRRN to air the Triple Crown on Yahoo! Sports Radio. The races are unique, exciting content — and we have gotten great response from our affiliates,” said David Gow, CEO of Yahoo! Sports Radio.
Each of HRRN’s Triple Crown broadcasts will air live from 5:00-7:00 pm ET. Additionally, YSR will air post-race coverage as part of Saturday’s “Postgame with Peter Brown” program.
“This is the first time live play by play has appeared on YSR but, it won’t be the last,” said Craig Larson, PD and COO of Yahoo! Sports Radio. “Partnering with HRRN is a big victory for both network and listeners.”
As of April 2014, Yahoo! Sports Radio can be heard on over 425 stations nationwide.
