1010 WINS-AM, one of CBS Radio’s most decorated all-news properties, announced an addition to its lineup that will provide listeners with more in-depth financial and business commentary surrounding the day’s headlines.  Andrew Ross Sorkin’s business briefs, produced and distributed by United Stations Radio Networks, will debut Monday, July 12, coinciding with the program’s nationwide launch.


The weekday power-house series of short-form programs feature Sorkin’s exclusive insights and perspectives on the daily activities in the world of business and finance.  The reports will be broadcast three times each day during morning, midday and afternoon drive programming.

Sorkin, an award-winning journalist and author, is The New York Times’ chief mergers and acquisitions reporter and a columnist. He is also the founder and editor of DealBook (nytimes.com/dealbook), a financial-news website and email newsletter published by The Times.   He recently authored the best-selling book, Too Big To Fail, which is being made into a movie by HBO.  Sorkin is also a frequent guest host on CNBC’s Squawk Box, and has appeared as a guest on a number of leading broadcast news, information and entertainment programs.
