So far this is the season of sitcoms. Three new comedies have been picked up by Fox and NBC – and CBS has now taken the tally to four with a full-season order for “2 Broke Girls.”

CBS noted that 2 Broke Girls is the top new series in both viewers (15.50m) and adults 18-49 (5.8/14), winning its Monday (8:30-9:00 PM) time period in key demographics.

2 Broke Girls stars Kat Dennings, Beth Behrs, Matthew Moy, Jonathan Kite and Garrett Morris.  Michael Patrick King is executive producer and Whitney Cummings is executive consultant for Warner Bros. Television.  The series was co-created by King and Cummings.

Already picked up this season were the sitcoms “New Girl” by Fox and both “Whitney” and Up All Night” by NBC.

It’s been a good season so far for Whitney Cummings, who is the creator of both “Whitney” and “2 Broke Girls.”
