2011 Radio Mercury Awards winners named (audio)


It’s one of the highlights of the 2011 Advertising Week conference in NYC: Winners were announced the evening of 10/4 at the 20th annual awards reception at the Sentry Center. This year’s Best of Show Award was given to EURO RSCG for the spot “Coffee” for Dos Equis. This year’s Marketer of the Year Award was presented to Chase for their utilization of radio in their brand and awareness efforts.

The ceremony hosted by former WRXP-FM NY morning man and MTV2 VJ Matt Pinfield, featured appearances by Steve Harvey, host of the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Show on WBLS; Greg T and TJ from Elvis Duran and the nationally syndicated Z100 Morning Show on Clear Channel’s Z100; Cipha Sounds, Peter Rosenberg, K-Foxx, from the Cipha Sounds & Rosenberg Show heard on Emmis’ Hot 97; and Jim Douglas and Kim Berk, hosts of the Jim and Kim Morning Show on CBS Radio’s Fresh 102.7.

Also, in attendance were numerous leaders from the creative and advertising community including: Susan Credle, Chief Creative Officer, Leo Burnett USA; Rich Stoddart, President Leo Burnett USA; Brooke Aslesen and Georgina Flores from Allstate; Rob Feakins, CCO Publicis NY; as well creative teams from Euro RSCG, BBDO NY, Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners Ramona, McGarryBowen, Publicis NY, and the Martin Agency.
