The latest Civic ad push focuses on “makers and explorers like those who created a laser keyboard and 4moms origami stroller,” said Honda in a statement.
Honda hustled through extensive interior and exterior design upgrades for the 2013 Honda Civic after criticism of the previous redesign of the car. The Civic’s chief rivals include the Toyota Corolla and the Ford Focus, reports Edmunds.com.
Three 2013 Honda Civic models, including the sedan, Si Coupe and Hybrid, will be featured in three TV spots, the automaker noted. The campaign debuted during the 2013 Rose Bowl and will be featured during the NBA and NFL AFC Wildcard and Divisional games, as well as in nearly 60 markets during the BCS Championship. The redesigned Civic ads will also be seen during the Grammy Awards.
“The TV creative mixes found and original footage of real inventors, makers and explorers like those who created a laser keyboard and 4moms origami stroller aligned with Honda’s own engineering innovations such as the 2013 Civic, Asimo, HondaJet and high-performance racing programs to express their shared passion for creativity and ingenuity,” said Honda.
