USTN Woes Hit Another Company: Beasley

First, it was Entercom CommunicationsThen, Cumulus Media stepped forward to reveal that it, too, was bit by U.S. Traffic Network (USTN) — an announcement that puts the wheels in motion on USTN ceasing its radio industry operations.


Now, Beasley Media Group has been negatively impacted by USTN, resulting in bad debt expense. While this hampered Beasley’s Q3 net income, operating income and that favorite non-GAAP measure of “Station Operating Income” often seen at radio broadcasting companies, higher expenses in three markets also put a dent in a net revenue gain for the Southwest Florida-based owner of AMs and FMs.
