22 million watch Democrats, night one

0

Nielsen Media Research reports that Monday night’s kickoff of the Democratic National Convention from Denver scored a Household rating of 15.1. That’s the combined total of eight networks carrying the proceedings in primetime – ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, FOX News Channel, MSNBC, BET and TV One. That is, of course, less than the rating for most nights of the Summer Olympics, carried only on one network, NBC. But then, the star of the show will not make his appearance until Thursday.

While coverage varied by network, all eight aired live coverage from approximately 10-11PM (ET). The chart supplied by Nielsen shows the combined audience for these networks.
