VoltairTelos Alliance company 25-Seven Systems plans to release a software update for its Voltair watermark monitor/processor.

The company plans a Sept. 22 release date for version 2.0.

Executives will be pleased to know the software update is free to Voltair users.

25-Seven Systems Founder Geoff Steadman says the update contains new visibility tools to enable stations and ownership groups to monitor PPM encoding quality metrics in real-time at local and enterprise levels.

Using this access, he says, programmers can build and extract encoding history data for correlation with playlists, ratings and other metrics.

Evaluation versions of the 2.0 software have been running at stations since June, with 25-Seven citing “favorable” feedback.
