32 million watched President Obama

On Tuesday, June 15, 2010 President Barack Obama delivered his first address from the Oval Office, discussing plans to clean up the oil spill in the Gulf Coast and calling for a change in the way the US produces and consumes energy. 


The address was carried live from 8:00 pm to approximately 8:20 pm ET on 11 networks. According to The Nielsen Company, the sum of average audience for those networks was 32,051,887 viewers, with a combined household rating of 20.9. 

The networks carrying the address were ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Telemundo, Univision, CNN, CNBC, FOX News Channel, MSNBC, and The Weather Channel.
