A Cyberattack Hits TV News Across Two Western States


From early September through late October, a group of stations licensed to entities controled by Cowles Media found themselves absent from DirecTV lineups across a host of cities.

Among the impacted stations: NBC affiliate KHQ-6 in Spokane.

Now, KHQ and several other stations are recovering from perhaps a much more serious problem: a cyberattack that turned back the clock some 25 years on journalists.
