A ‘Good Faith’ Complaint Is Erased As Retrans Deal Is Reached

DAYTON, OHIO — On April 4, “Cincinnati Bell Extended Territories LLC” — known to customers as altafiber, filed a retransmission consent complaint against the licensee of the Miami Valley’s biggest broadcast TV station. Altafiber alleged what the FCC’s Media Bureau calls “a violation of the duty to negotiate retransmission consent in good faith.”

The TV station’s owner responded.

The Policy Division Senior Deputy Chief was ready to rule on the matter. But, he won’t have to — a resolution has come for altafiber and Cox Media Group.
