The government’s weekly report on new jobless claims came in better than expected. But that good news made traders worry that the Fed might back off on buying bonds to pump more money into the economy. So, stocks were mixed. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 19 points, or 0.2%, to 10,949. The S&P 500 was also down, but the Nasdaq Composite up. Broadcasting stocks were also mixed.
The RBR Radio Index was up 2.605, or 1%, to 271.671.
The TVBR Television Index was down 0.683, or 0.4%, to 195.84.
