A look at sold Denver move-in signals

The two recently sold FMs in the Denver area, KJAC-FM Timnath CO and KCUV-FM Greenwood Village CO, have different attributes. By far the more robust signal belongs to 105.5 MHz KJAC. Its C1 license provides it with 50 kw emanating from a stick at 1,302’ HAAT. But it’s sited so that it does a good job covering Ft Collins CO and even makes it to Cheyenne WY. However, its main signal only makes it to the northern reaches of the Denver market, beyond the city limits.

KCUV, a Class A on 102.3 MHz actually does get into the city, covering most of it, but with only 1 kw off a 1,076’ HAAT stick.

The stations are going from NRC Broadcasting to Moreland Properties in a $5M cash deal.
