For some 14 years, the New York AM known for “all news, all the time” in 22-minute blocks saw an individual who began his career at WBZ-AM 1030 in Boston take on the role of GSM of WINS-AM before rising to Station Manager, SVP/Director of Sales, VP/GM and then GSM.

Following a revenue generation-focused stint at Randy Michaels’ Merlin Media and, from January 2013 through March 2016, a regional VP slot at Townsquare Media, this individual returned to “1010 WINS,” as VP/Director of Sales for the station and sibling WCBS-AM 880.

He left in April 2018 to reignite his consultancy. Now he’s joining United Stations Radio Network.

Taking the role of Chief Revenue Officer at USRN is Greg Janoff. He will lead all of the independently owned radio programming company’s advertising sales efforts and succeeds Jim Higgins, who unexpectedly exited USRN as President/COO at the end of July after 35 years and nine months at the company.

“We are beyond thrilled that we now have Greg Janoff overseeing our revenue streams,” said USRN Chairman/CEO Nick Verbitsky. “Greg is passionate about our medium, knows radio inside and out and will absolutely be a tremendous asset for our company. The next decade is around the corner and we have landed the right executive to lead our current successes forward into the future.”
