A Red Splatter For Media Stocks

The woes on Wall Street continued on Thursday, as the Nasdaq composite index fell 92.99 points to 7,329.06, following a steep dip on Wednesday fueled by strong losses among tech industry stocks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 2.1% of its value, falling 545.91 points to 25,052.83. How did media issues fare?

Not great, with Entercom shedding 19 cents to land at $6.80. On a positive note, Beasley Broadcast Group shares improved by 22 cents, to $6.53.

There was far more red than green, however, with CBS Corp. losing 3.1% of its share value on Thursday, to $53.83.

The biggest drop seen among media stocks is that of Nexstar Media Group. After recently topping the $80 threshold, NXST on Thursday saw a 3.9% retreat, landing at $73.92.
