Consider it a retirement. Sort of.
Federico d’Avis is capping a multi-decade career in RF and microwave sales by taking a role as a part-time consultant at the company he’s formally departing as its International Sales Director.
Who’s succeeding him?
Look no further than John Macdonald.
He’s no stranger to the broadcast industry, and has a resume that includes roles with such companies as Broadcast Electronics, Thomcast, and Nautel.
“His entire career to date has emphasized sales and support of over-the-air transmission systems” in global markets including the “CALA” region, which includes Latin America and Caribbean locales.
The transition is scheduled to occur August 3.
For d’Avis, he can “retire” celebrating such recent sales achievements as a complete RF and antenna systems installation for TV Azteca’s national ATSC DTV network in Mexico; and multiple TV channel relocation projects for Canada’s recent DTV Allotment Plan, which reconfigured the 600 MHz band.
He spent 12 years at Dielectric.
