A Senator’s ‘Big Tech’ Ad Buster That Could Boost Broadcast Media

Sen. Josh Hawley, a Republican from Missouri, may have a relatively low profile on a national level.


That just changed, as Hawley on Tuesday announced he will introduce the Behavioral Advertising Decisions Are Downgrading Services (BAD ADS) Act.

It’s a bill designed to remove “Section 230” immunity from what he calls “Big Tech companies that display manipulative, behavioral ads or provide data to be used for them.”
