A series of webinars from Nautel set to start in two weeks will put the focus on such topics as how to increase a radio station’s HD coverage to lowering digital transmission costs.

The Summer Webinars begin Wednesday, June 14, at Noon Eastern with a discussion from Chuck Kelly and Nautel Research Engineer Philipp Schmid on the company recently launched HD MultiCast+ product, introduced at the 2017 NAB show.

HD MultiCast+ is designed to reduce the costs of digital broadcasting and combines an HD Radio Importer and Exporter into one unit. It is the first product of its type to include DTS’ Gen 4 HD code. The HD MultiCast+ is 2 RU and includes a built-in multi-channel audio card, GPS receiver, Nautel Reliable HD Transport, software, and station logo support.

The June 14 webinar is scheduled to run approximately 20 minutes, with time for questions at the end.

On Wednesday, June 28, at noon Eastern, Kelly and Schmid will again be at the microphone to discuss a new HD SFN (Single Frequency Network) method that enables seamless transition between separate HD transmitters on an SFN, even in areas with challenging terrain.

In particular, the two will describe recent field trials involving Classical KUSC-FM 91.5 in Los Angeles.

Keeping the transmitter and yourself safe are the topics of a fast-paced webinar, hosted by Nautel’s “Tips and Tricks” specialist Jeff Welton, on Wednesday, July 12 at Noon Eastern.

The session, titled “How to Not Blow Stuff Up,” will cover safety, lightning protection, IT security, routine maintenance and more.
