ABC adds nine Scripps stations to Live Well Network

The digital multicast offering Live Well Network from t he ABC Owned Television Group has added the Scripps Television Station Group as affiliates. The nine Scripps stations reach more than 10% of American households.


While six of the Scripps stations are ABC affiliates – in Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Phoenix, Tampa and Baltimore – the affiliation deal for the digital Live Well Network also includes three NBC affiliates – in Kansas City, West Palm Beach and Tulsa.

The Scripps stations take the Live Well affiliate count to 25 stations serving approximately 40% of US television households. They join eight ABC-owned stations, five from Belo Corp., two from Lilly Broadcasting and one from LKK Group.

Live Well Network, which bills itself as “the home, health and lifestyle” digital subchannel network, said it expects additional affiliation agreements to be announced shortly.

“Live Well Network reinforces our commitment to meaningful content with its compelling array of original TV series about beauty, fashion, health, home, personal finance and other lifestyle topics,” said Brian Lawlor, Senior Vice President of the Scripps television division.
