The final tallies come out today, but ABC has declared itself the ratings winner for week one of the 2008-2009 TV season in the key 18-49 demo and total viewership. ABC claimed the crown after seeing overnights from Sunday, when it was second to NBC, which aired NFL “Sunday Night Football.” ABC’s season premiere of “Desperate Housewives” was the night’s top show though in total viewers and adults 18-49, the network said.
