ABC News Radio will offer two one-hour specials for use over the Fourth of July Holiday weekend. The programs include: “Fourth of July LIVE,” and “ABC’s Sunsational Summer 2010.”

ABC News Radio Correspondents Aaron Katersky and Todd Ant will host “Fourth of July LIVE.” This live one hour program will put listeners right in the action at Coney Island, New York for the Nathan’s Famous 4th of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest. Six-time champion Takeru Kobayashi will try to recapture his title from three-time defending champion Joey Chestnut. The broadcast will also go behind the scenes of what it takes to become a gustatory gladiator and the rivalry that has vaulted the sport of Major League Eating.

Doug Limerick will host “ABC’s Sunsational Summer 2010.” This special broadcast will offer suggestions for recent grads trying to land that first job.  For those looking to get away, the hour will offer tips on how to find and take advantage of great travel deals. Most importantly on this Independence Day, ABC News Radio will honor the men and women currently serving in the armed forces.
