ABC News announced today that ad insertion and audience measurement for its audio and video podcasts will be provided through VoloMedia Inc, and that the two companies will partner on ad sales. ABC News will manage ad campaigns for downloadable media and view usage reports through VoloMedia’s Campaign Management Portal. The patented products and technologies provided by VoloMedia can dynamically insert and rotate ads and measure downloads and plays from the PC all the way to the device, including Apple’s iPod and iPhone. The ads can be inserted anywhere within downloadable media based on predefined parameters such as geographic and demographic targeting and frequency capping.
