ABC sets Dancing tie-in to

The unveiling of the new cast of celebrity contestants for “Dancing with the Stars” has become an audience draw, so this time around ABC has decided to draw that audience to another reality competition in primetime.


The contestants for Season 11 of DWTS will be announced during a “live press conference” on Monday, August 30th and hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke will reveal the cast members during the broadcast of “Bachelor Pad” airing 8-10 pm ET on ABC. The press conference will be posted online the next day.

DWTS will return to the ABC schedule on Monday, September 20 with a two-hour premiere, airing 8-10 pm ET.

Also returning to the show with Bergeron and Burke are judges Len Goodman,  Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.  “Macy’s Stars of Dance” will be back this season, featuring some of the best choreographers and performers from different styles of dance and offering viewers performances that represent the peak of achievement in their genres, including fan favorite “Design-A-Dance,” in which viewers can vote and select the elements of the performance, from who is dancing to the style of ballroom to the music.
