For the First Time Ever, “JKL” Outperforms “Fallon” for the Week in Adults 18-49, While Topping the NBC Program in Viewers by its Largest Margin Ever

“JKL” Betters “Ferguson” Among Adults 18-34 for the 2nd Time in 3 Weeks

With Guests Elizabeth Mitchell, Jesse Williams and Florence and the Machine,“JKL’s” Thursday Telecast Attracts the Show’s Largest Audience Since June

Weekly National Ratings:
For the week of November 2, 2009, ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” saw its Adults 18-49 audience (720,000) grow over the previous week for the 3rd week in a row, registering the ABC late-night program’s largest young adult audience since premiere week 6 weeks ago – wo 9/21/09.

For the first time ever, “JKL” outperformed NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” for the week in Adults 18-49 (720,000 vs. 712,000).  In addition, “JKL” topped “Fallon” by 35% in Total Viewers (1.70 million vs. 1.26 million), bettering the NBC late night program in viewers for the 7th week in a row, all 7 weeks of the 2009-10 TV season.  Season to date, “JKL” is outdrawing NBC’s “Fallon” by 22% in Total Viewers (1.69 million vs. 1.39 million).

“Jimmy Kimmel Live” bettered CBS’ “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” among Adults 18-34 (295,000 vs. 233,000) for the 2nd time in 3 weeks.  “JKL” also bested “Ferguson” among Women 18-34 (155,000 vs. 120,000), Women 18-49 (420,000 vs. 396,000) and Men 18-34 (140,000 vs. 113,000).  

On Thursday (11/5/09), featuring Elizabeth Mitchell (“V”), Jesse Williams (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and musical guest Florence and the Machine, “JKL” posted its strongest performance in Total Viewers (2.02 million) for any “Kimmel” telecast since June – since 6/11/09.  Additionally, it was “JKL’s” 2nd-highest Adults 18-49 telecasts (874,000) of the season.
