ABC's 'Once Upon a Time' holds respectable third

Once Upon a Time continued to generate strong year-over-year gains.


Building sharply on its repeat lead-in (America’s Funniest Home Videos) opposite sports-driven competition during the 8pm hour from NBC’s big Sunday Night Football game (NY Giants-Dallas Cowboys) and CBS’ NFL overrun-boosted programming, ABC freshman drama Once Upon a Time finished as the #2 entertainment program in its slot to the season finale of CBS’ Amazing Race XIX in viewers and young adults, while beating out the Amazing Race closer with Adults 18-34, Women 18-34 and Women 18-49.   For the new series’ 7th consecutive broadcast, Once Upon a Time qualified as Sunday’s #1 entertainment program with key Women (W18-34/W18-49). 

Once Upon a Time continued to generate strong year-over-year gains for ABC, growing over original programming on the same night last year by 21% in Adults 18-49.
