ABC's 'Shark Tank' ranked No. 1 in its time slot Friday

ABC ranked No. 1 on Friday among Adults 18-49, turning in its strongest young adult performance on the night in more than 3 months – since 1/7/11.  In fact, each program of ABC’s lineup ranked No. 1 in Adults 18-49 in their respective time periods. 
 
Marking a season-high performance, ABC’s Shark Tank recorded ABC’s best performance in the hour in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 with regular programming in over 1 year – since 2/5/10.  The ABC unscripted series ranked No. 1 in its time slot for the first time this season in Adults 18-49 (tie), topping CBS’ Chaos by 67% and NBC’s Friday Night Lights by 67%. 
 
·         Building audience throughout its broadcast, the ABC unscripted series grew by 10% in Total Viewers and by 21% in Adults 19-49 from its first half-hour to its second half-hour. 
 
ABC’s Primetime: What Would You Do? led the 9 o’clock hour in Adults 18-49, beating its newsmagazine competition, NBC’s Dateline by 17%.  Primetime: What Would You Do? also took the top spot in Adults 25-54 (tie) and Women 18-49.   
 
For the 2nd time in the last 3 weeks, ABC’s 20/20 finished No. 1 in the 10 o’clock hour among Adults 18-49 (tie).  In addition, the ABC newsmagazine led the hour across all key Women demographics: W18-34/W18-49/W25-54.  20/20 featured Juju Chang’s exclusive interview with former Chicago Bears star player Shaun Gayle who speaks for the first time about the murder of his pregnant girlfriend and unborn child, gunned down at close range in 2007 by a woman who was secretly obsessed with him.
