JVC Media is known for its station cluster on Long Island NY’s Nassau-Suffolk market, but it has been looking far to the south for growth opportunities. One such deal has now made it to closure.
The price was $850K cash.
The station is WSVU-AM West Palm Beach, a Class B on 960 kHz with 2.4 kW-D, 1.4 kW-N, DA2. It comes with a pair of FM translators, W240CF and W295BJ.
Eddie Esserman of Media Services Group provided brokerage services on behalf of the seller.
JVC has a Florida outpost in the Gainesville-Ocala market and just filed to acquire WHKQ-FM Windemere FL in the Orlando market. The station price in that Glenn Serafin-brokered deal was $10M.
