Adelstein goes green

And he wants to take the FCC with him. According to Green Electronics Daily, FCC Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein (D) would like the FCC to get more involved in environmental matters, including the safe disposal of analog television sets and the promotion of teleconferencing and telecommuting as an alternative to fuel-consuming travel. Adelstein made his remarks in a new publication called Green Electronics Daily. He said the analog disposal role he envisioned for the FCC was largely informational, while clearing the way for more and faster broadband was a key on the teleconferencing and telecommuting side.
