Major union AFL-CIO used the Labor Day holiday to make the case for more jobs and a strong middle-class economy in the Keystone State, placing multiplatform ads tied to sporting events and on Radio Pennsylvania and “The Rick Smith Show.”
The union said that it ran “twenty-seven spots on multiple media outlets running during the Pirates and Phillies games on Sunday and Monday.”
The ad flight coincided with family events throughout the state aimed at get-out-the-vote efforts for the upcoming midterms.
“Labor Day is a time for everyone in America to celebrate working people and our communities. This ad is a reminder to our leaders and the public to focus on what families are facing in today’s economy and to keep us on the path forward,”said Rick Bloomingdale, President of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO. “When working people across the nation come together, we can create something better for the next generation. We have a voice, together we can make it heard.”
