In October 2020, Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group acquired MGM‘s over-the-air broadcast television networks This TV and Light TV, offered as digital multicast networks with national distribution, for an undisclosed price.

Now, This TV is getting a boost, bringing it to more U.S. locales.

The network has added eight ABC-owned television stations to its mix.

They include WABC-7 in New York, KABC-7 in Los Angeles, WLS-7 in Chicago, WPVI-6 in Philadelphia, KGO-7 in San Francisco, and ABC-owned stations in Houston, Fresno and Raleigh-Durham.

“Allen Media Group’s over-the-air broadcast television network This TV is now well-positioned for greater success with the addition of these eight phenomenal ABC owned and operated broadcast television stations,” said Byron Allen, Founder and Chairman/CEO of Allen Media Group/Entertainment Studios. “As we continue to invest substantial amounts of capital into the programming, marketing, and distribution of THIS TV and our portfolio of eleven networks, we remain strong believers in over-the-air broadcasting and free-streaming direct-to-consumer platforms.”

Allen Media is one of the fastest-growing TV entities in America. On the broadcast TV side, it owns 13 free-to-air stations, including recently acquired ABC affiliate KITV-4 in Honolulu.
