Altitude Sickness: DISH Drop Precedes Comcast, AT&T ‘Blackouts’

Don’t think for a minute that television broadcasting companies are the only ones tangling with MVPDs over new rights agreements.


A regional sports network heavy on Mile High pro teams, owned by Stan Kroenke’s Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, has gone dark on DISH Network as of Midnight, August 29.

The reason? A carriage renewal agreement couldn’t be reached.

Two other big blackouts were feared. They happened late Saturday, practically crippling Altitude Sports‘ reach across the Rocky Mountain West.
