Graham Media Flagship Welcomes A Director of Technology

NORTHVILLE, MICH. — WDIV-4, the Graham Media Group flagship property serving Detroit and Ann Arbor, has hired a Director of Technology.


He will supervise and manage all aspects of the broadcast station and its multi-platform content distribution.

Taking the role? Amador Velasquez, who joins the company after serving as Technology Manager of NBCUniversal-owned NBC affiliated WCAU-10 in Philadelphia. Prior to that, Velasquez was Chief Engineer at KTVZ-TV in Bend, Ore., and Chief Engineer at KECY-TV in Yuma, Ariz. and his hometown of El Centro, Calif.

His career in broadcast began when Velasquez joined the US Army Signal Corp at 17 as a 31R Multi-Channel Transmission Systems Operator/Maintainer.

He succeeds retiring Vice President and Director of Technology Marcus Williams.

Williams will be with the station until the end of 2020. Velasquez will be assuming his role with WDIV in mid-November.
