“America Now” jumps 16% in January

This January saw metered market ratings jump +16% over last year for America Now, the daily syndicated newsmagazine show co-hosted by Leeza Gibbons and Bill Rancic from Raycom Media and ITV Studios America. These are the highest ratings for the season so far.


Airing weekdays in 45 markets, in January America Now delivered a 1.4 rating/4 share in its 14 metered markets, a 10% gain in share from a year ago.

Birmingham continued to lead America Now’s key markets, with a 6.1 rating/13 share – up +36% in ratings and 25% in share over January 2012. In addition, Richmond (WWBT) saw a gain of +50% in ratings and +35% in share, and Cincinnati (WXIX) posted a gain of +50% in ratings and +33% in share over last year.

The series, now in its third season after becoming a weekday strip in 2011, features tests on new products to see if they deliver as promised; tips on finding online bargains; informative stories about the latest health warnings and medical breakthroughs; warnings about consumer scams and recalls; and advice on ways to keep your family safe.

Experts offer solutions on topics ranging from training your dog and getting the most out of your workouts to home remedies, protecting your identity online and navigating politics at work.
