'American Country Awards' delivers second-place for Fox

The 2nd ANNUAL AMERICAN COUNTRY AWARDS special (ACAs) special posted a 2.0/5, up +33% from last year’s telecast (1.5/4 on 12/6/10).  The ACAs were also up +33% in Teens (1.2 vs. 0.9) and +23% in Total Viewers (7.4 vs. 6.0 Mil.)  In addition, the awards telecast grew +22% among Adults 18-49 from the first half hour to the last half hour.

Competition

Following the holiday specials A Charlie Brown Christmas (2.8/8) and Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice (2.2/6), ABC’s new game show You Deserve It! dipped to its lowest rating yet (1.0/2), down -29% from last week’s telecast. Castle finished the night at a season-low 2.0/5, down -13% from its last original two weeks ago.

CBS’ How I Met Your Mother (4.5/12, up +2%), 2 Broke Girls (4.6/11, flat), Two and a Half Men (5.0/12, down -4%), Mike & Molly (4.2/10, flat) and Hawaii Five-0 (3.0/8, up +7%) were all in line with their recent performances.
 
NBC delivered its lowest rated in-season Monday night ever with original programming (1.0/3). Following A Sing-Off Christmas (1.1/3) from 8-10p, Rock Center with Brian Williams posted a 0.9/2, down -18% from last week and tied as its series low
