American Idol gives Fox the win

Airing the AMERICAN IDOL Top 12 Girls performance show, FOX won last night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens.  In fact, FOX out-rated the next highest rated network by +69% in Adults 18-49 (4.9 vs. 2.9 for both ABC and CBS) and +49% in Total Viewers (17.0 vs. 11.4 for CBS).
 
AMERICAN IDOL was the highest rated program of the night in both the core 18-49 demo and Total Viewers.  FOX has now won seven Wednesdays in a row among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers.
 
* AMERICAN IDOL: 4.9/13, down -4% from last week but up +6% in Total Viewers (17.0 vs. 16.1 Mil.) Note: IDOL ratings are expected to go up a tenth or two in the finals this afternoon
* Last night’s IDOL was up +6% in Total Viewers and up +3% in Teens versus Tuesday’s performance show
* IDOL beat the #2 program of the night in Total Viewers (Criminal Minds) by +36%
* IDOL grew +20% among Adults 18-49 and +15% in Total Viewer from its first half hour to its last

* Whitney: 1.5/4, flat with last week
* Are You There, Chelsea?: 1.3/4, flat with last week and tied as its series low 
* Rock Center with Brian Williams: 0.7/2, up +17% from last week’s season low
* Law & Order: SVU: 1.6/4, flat with last week and tied as its series low
