America's Radio News Network launches (audio)

America’s Radio News Network launched the first of five co-anchored 3-hour news-only blocks 1/24. The first nationally-syndicated long-form news program ran Noon-3 p.m. ET (9 a.m.-Noon PT), and featured breaking news and in-depth investigative/serialized reporting.

America’s Radio News Network, airing from Washington, DC, provides non-partisan news programming to affiliates nationwide, which is dubbed “completely compatible” and “complimentary” with all forms of spoken-word radio programming available today. We found it to be chock full of bumper-to-bumper quick interviews, humorous exchanges and modern music sound intros and out-tros for its 18-34 demo. It’s a bit like radio news for the “ADD Generation” with hosts Chris Salcedo and Lori Lundin (from Fox News) – faced-paced and packs a lot of info into its time frame. It’s repped and distributed TRN Syndications, Ltd.
