An Iconic Journalist Gets A Big ‘Gracies’ Honor

NEW YORK — An award-winning journalist, best-selling author and current anchor of CBS Sunday Morning will be the center of attention on Tuesday (6/27) at Midtown Manhattan’s posh Cipriani on 42nd, as she will be honored with the 2017 Gracies Lifetime Achievement Award.


Jane Pauley, who co-hosted NBC’s TODAY from 1976 through the end of 1989 and later enjoyed a lengthy tenure as the host of the network’s Dateline NBC prime-time news magazine, will be presented with the award by veteran CBS Sunday Morning correspondent Martha Teichner.

The ceremony is the highlight of The Gracie Awards Luncheon, which honors local and student radio, television and interactive media. The Gracies are presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation.

The event will be hosted by Dylan Dreyer, the weather anchor of NBC News’ Weekend TODAY, meteorologist for Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist, and a regular co-host for TODAY and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt.

Kara DioGuardi, a Grammy-nominated songwriter and former judge on FOX’s American Idol, will perform.Limited entry is still available as of RBR+TVBR’s Wednesday afternoon deadline.
