An Ohio LPFM’s Last-Chance Reply, Via Email To The FCC

On July 21, RBR+TVBR offered fresh details on the pending demise of a low-power FM radio station serving the birthplace of President Warren G. Harding. WWGH-LPFM in Marion, Ohio, faces a license revocation and call letter deletion for the apparent misrepresentation to the Commission of its board members, listing a deceased individual.

While that prompted the license revocation hearing from the FCC’s Administrative Law Judge, Jane Hinckley Halprin, it is the ALJ’s repeated orders for formal legal counsel that have put WWGH-LPFM on the precipice of cancellation.

Today was the deadline date for obtaining legal counsel. Rather than find one, the individual associated with the LPFM, in an emailed letter to the Commission, begged for another option.

Will he get it, or is WWGH-LPFM about to be killed?
