Andrulonis Says Goodbye To ‘Carolina Country’

When Jeff Andrulonis shifted his focus from ownership and management of radio stations in the Twin Tiers of Pennsylvania and New York to the Carolinas, he did so under the guise of “making the noise around here you can’t ignore!”

Soon, his Colonial Radio Group will be doing so with one less property, as it is selling a Grand Strand FM.

The station Andrulonis is parting ways with is WPGI-FM 93.7, a Georgetown, S.C.-based 6kw Class A serving a slice of the Carolina coast with Charleston to the far south and Myrtle Beach to the far north.

Carolina Country Radio WYAY.png The buyer is GT Media, and it is paying $275,000 for the FM. A 10% deposit has been made by GT, led by Managing Member Joseph Rice and Todd Fowler, the media broker behind Fowler Media Consulting, based in the Charleston, S.C., area.

The broker in this transaction is Mark Jorgenson of Jorgenson Broadcast Brokerage. He represented the seller.
