Another AM goes noncom

Static TN doesn’t sound like a promising place to build a radio station, but WSBI-AM has been operating there without any problems, and now it’s getting a new owner. Donnie Cox is selling it to Rev. Jose Rodriguez’s Iglesia Hispana de Nashville Inc. for $125K. $50K of that will cover an LMA until closing, when Rodriguez will come up with the remaining $75K, $15K of which is being allocated to a non-compete agreement. Static is in unrated territory. Rodriguez already owns WYXE-AM in Gallatin TN, near Nashville.
