Another deal, another ownership situation for NAB graduate

RBR-TVBR earlier reported on the acquisition by donation of WQBC-AM Vicksburg MS by Michael M. Davis and his Costar Broadcast Group. Davis, a graduate of the National Association of Broadcasters leadership training program, is being joined by another — Marc Jaromin, president of Roundtable Broadcasting – who is getting buying television properties in the Jackson MS market.

Jaromin is picking up a Fox affiliate, WDBD-TV along with low power station WXMS. The acquisition takes a 25-year career in the television to a new level. The seller is Jackson Television LLC.

“For ten years, the Broadcast Leadership Training Program has helped aspiring broadcast owners reach new levels of success,” said NAB Education Foundation President Marcellus Alexander. “We salute all the graduates of the program for their dedication and hard work, and look forward to hearing about the invaluable contributions they will make to the broadcasting community of tomorrow.”
