When it comes to the brand that is most dominant at spot radio, it appears to be a two-way race.
One highly active user of spot radio is an auto insurance company. The other is a highly visible home improvement retailer, which this week has a huge spot play lead over all others.
According to the latest Media Monitors Spot Ten Radio report, The Home Depot commands a tremendous lead of roughly 40,000 spot plays over the second-biggest all-paying user of radio, GEICO; iHeartRadio is discounted as many of these spots could be in-house, and therefore do not reflect actual media buying activity.
While The Home Depot and GEICO are tops in their respective categories, competitors Lowe’s and Progressive are in the top 5 this week.
Also of note: Wendy’s and McDonald’s, each present in the top 10.
