The deal is with Verizon’s FiOS MVPD Service.
“We are delighted to add MundoFox to the FiOS TV lineup,” said Michelle Webb, director of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon. “As we continue to give our FiOS customers more and more Spanish-language programming, we are ensuring they have access to the best – and the most – channels available today.”
Added Emiliano Saccone, president of MundoFox, “Bringing MundoFox to FiOS subscribers is an important step in the growth of our network. Having a tremendous distribution partner like Verizon will allow more viewers to experience our diverse roster of quality programming that echoes the interests of the ‘New Latino’ viewer.”
MundoFox is a partnership between Fox International Channels and RCN Television Group, bringing a wide variety of programming to the US Hispanic audience.
The network is already available on FiOS systems in Los Angeles and Dallas, and will shortly be available in northeast locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey and the New York City area. It is expected to debut in Florida in September.
