Arbitron releases RADAR 117 rankers

ArbitronArbitron reported in its June 2013 RADAR ratings that nearly 179 million Persons 12+, or 68% of this demo, heard one or more network radio commercials in an average week of the survey period. The survey period demonstrates network radio’s power in reaching a mass audience in all demographics.  Commercials aired on the 47 radio networks measure reached:


67.8% of Persons aged 12+ (178,818,000 Persons)

68.3% of Persons aged 18+ (162,839,000 Persons)

67.8% of Persons aged 35+ (112,803,000 Persons)

70.6% of Persons aged 18-49 (94,580,000 Persons)

71.2% of Persons aged 25-54 (89,137,000Persons)

Overall, the total RADAR Gross Impressions were down -8.9% year to year with Adults 18-49 and -7.9% with Adults 25-54.

Biggest gains among the A25-54 targeted networks year to year:

CMN Radio Social Network    13.3%
Cumulus Family FM     8.0 %
Cumulus Prime Reach     4.6 %

Cumulus Media Networks added 2 networks: Contemporary FM Weekend and Family FM Weekend.

Premiere Radio Network dropped one network: FOX Business Report. Premiere Spectrum scored the highest reach for Persons 12+ among all RADAR-measured networks in RADAR 117, reaching more than 35 million listeners each week (All Broadcasts, Monday-Sunday 12 Midnight-12Midnight broad daypart, cume audience).

Premiere also garnered the top four cume rankings for Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49 among all 47 measured RADAR networks in RADAR 117 (All Broadcasts, Monday-Sunday 12Midnight-12Midnight broad daypart).  Premiere Young Influencers, Premiere Spectrum, Premiere Super Moms, and Premiere Top 50 Optimized took the top four spots, respectively, for Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49.
